My husband drank every night and my family life was a mess. When he was drunk he was angry, arrogant, irresponsible or dishonest. I did everything to make him stop, and still nothing worked. I hide his car keys, empty his bottles. I blamed him, threatened him, forced and begged him. He promised me every week that he'll never pick up another drink again and on the next day he broke his promise and drank again. Or he was in denial he told me he doesn't have a drinking problem. I felt helpless! He did let me down so many times I just could not believe that he will ever change. But he did thanks to Restore and Regenerate program. I use to sit near the window and watch the street at night for hours wondering where he is and when he will come home.
